Kraków is a difficult place to drive. It is very congested, and it has a very complex system of one-way roads and restricted circulation areas. Furthermore, the city has established so-called parking zones. All this is explained through “whole epic poems” on road signs. Parking on streets is expensive and, in spite of that, hardly available. Thus, if you plan to arrive by car, just make sure the hotel of your choice is offering you a parking place for a reasonable price.


The good news is that Kraków’s Old City is a very friendly place for pedestrians.
